Reticulated Poison Frog

The Amazon Rainforest is incredible. No matter where you look, there is something immensely interesting to look at. It’s great for someone like me who is interested in everything from snakes to mammals to plants to invertebrates and everything in between. The frog diversity is staggering (though interestingly there are only a few species of salamanders).

I never realized how tiny poison dart frogs are- this one was about half an inch long. I spotted him on a log and I was lucky enough to capture this shot before the little guy hopped away. Though these animals are dazzlingly bright, they disappear into the leaf litter very easily.
